HVAC Maintenance - Cleaning a filter

The main reason most HVAC systems experience problems is accumulated dirt and lack of maintenance.

What's Included:

Gas Furnace:
  1. Change 1"/2" pleated filter or wash electronic air cleaner
  2. Observe operation of the furnace
  3. Clean burner and pilot area
  4. Inspect & clean blower compartment (blower wheel for additional charge)
  5. Visually inspect flue piping 
  6. Check for carbon monoxide leaks
  7. Check and adjust gas pressure (if needed)
  8. Lubricate motors if applicable
  9. Flush condensate pump or drain  
  10. Safety inspection
Electric Furnace:
  1. Change 1"/2" pleated filter or wash electronic air cleaner
  2. Inspect & clean all accessible controls and wiring
  3. Check supply voltage & amperage draws
  4. Inspect and clean blower compartment (blower wheel for additional charge)
  5. Lubricate motors if applicable
  6. Safety inspection
Heat Pump or Air Conditioner:
  1. Change 1"/2" pleated filter or wash electronic air cleaner
  2. Cycle system in heat & cool modes
  3. Check auxiliary/emergency heat operation
  4. Inspect & clean all accessible controls and wiring
  5. Check supply voltage & amperage draws
  6. Inspect & clean blower compartment (blower wheel for additional charge)
  7. Inspect and clean condensing coil (evaporator coil is additional charge)
  8. Flush condensate pump or drain
  9. Check refrigerant charge
  10. Check temperatures
  11. Lubricate motors if applicable
  12. Wash outdoor unit exterior
